Turning a Flyer Into a Polished Web Style Guide for Dancer’s Edge
When redesigning the website for Dancer’s Edge Studios, they didn’t send over a brand guide, they sent a flyer. And honestly? That was all I needed.

When redesigning the website for Dancer’s Edge Studios, they didn’t send over a brand guide, they sent a flyer. And honestly? That was all I needed.
Goal
Create a cohesive, elegant website that reflects the studio’s brand -- using only a past marketing flyer and a keen eye for design consistency.
Approach
Dancer’s Edge provided a hiring flyer and a few screenshots. I used them to reverse-engineer the site’s visual identity:
- Color palette pulled from the ad (bg, heading, text tones)
- Font family extracted and matched using design tools
- Script font (Eyesome Script) manually uploaded and styled
- Typography hierarchy built to mirror their offline look
Rather than guessing or reinventing, I translated the flyer’s polished aesthetic directly into the website, giving them a brand-consistent presence without a full rebranding effort.
Results
The site now mirrors the professional yet warm tone of the studio’s print materials. Colors are cohesive, fonts feel intentional, and the site’s visual rhythm matches what parents and students already associate with Dancer’s Edge.
What started as a poster turned into a living, breathing design system.
The Flyer I Received.
